7.6 km – Moderate

We start the route in the town centre, opposite the Town Hall. We cross the village towards the municipal swimming pools. We walk between the pelota court and the river, passing several bridges. We come to a turn-off on the right-hand side next to a farm building. From here, a little further on, we continue along the track to the La Losera path, which begins next to the Pondiellos ravine. It winds through the woodland in a marked zigzag. Once at the top, we turn right towards the Pondiellos dam; we cross it and pass over some footbridges, following the path down a marked zigzag until we reach the Pondiellos irrigation channel. We walk along it, which takes us to the turn-off leading into the San Juan irrigation channel. We reach the Peña las Vírgenes viewpoint, leaving behind the turn-off that we’ll take later. Here we can admire some lovely views. We retrace our steps to descend through a steep, wooded area before resuming the climb up to the Suscalar irrigation channel. This final stretch of the irrigation channel runs through open countryside with excellent views. We reach the Suscalar ravine, cross it and follow the path through meadows down to the Sallent–Lanuza road. We walk back along it for about 2 km to the starting point.

This route presents no technical difficulty, but due to the steep gradients in some places, it is not recommended for children under 12. The use of walking poles is recommended.
