Must-visit weekend

If you only have a weekend to visit Sallent, we recommend the following route to get to know all the must-see places.

The first day you can take the architectural route of Sallent, getting to know the traditional architecture of the area through it, you can see the stone houses and slate roofs as well as the coats of arms that adorn some of the buildings, you can also take the opportunity to visit the church of Our Lady of the Assumption.

In the afternoon, you can go to the Sarra reservoir to enjoy the incredible scenery and admire the mural of a Sarrio painted on the power station. Afterwards, head towards Portalet and stop in Formigal to admire the views of the valley from its viewpoint and learn about the history of the Basarán church. You can finish the day watching the sunset from the Portalet with the Midi d'Ossau as a witness.

On the second day, take advantage of the morning to discover the El Salto waterfall with an excursion lasting just half an hour, along an interpretative trail through the trees in the area. Afterwards, you can go to the San Mamés viewpoint to enjoy the magnificent views over the Lanuza reservoir and finish the morning with some tapas in one of the village's bars. In the afternoon, you can go to Lanuza, by car or with a short walk along the old road, to admire the charm of this small village.
